－田島征三プロフィール－　
1940年大阪府生まれ。幼少期を高知県で過ごす。
1969年の『ちからたろう』でブラティスラヴァ世界絵本原画展（BIB）金のりんご賞受賞、
講談社出版文化賞受賞、小学館絵画賞、絵本にっぽん賞、日本絵本賞、巌谷小波賞、
ENEOS児童文化賞など受賞多数。
2009年「鉢＆田島征三　絵本と木の実の美術館」を開館。
2013年瀬戸内国際芸術祭で香川県大島に「青空水族館」「森の小径」「Nさんの人生・大島七十年」を制作。
絵本の最新作「きのみのぼうけん」（福音館書店こどものとも800号）
日本を代表する絵本作家として精力的な活動をつづけている。
